Hey Jacquie
Winter is just Awsome!! I love her, she is still kinda getting to know me but I think we are bonding a little more everyday. I sent you an
email a while ago with pictures, did you get it? My mom is great and asks about you frequently. How is everything at the Farm? the
puppies? any new and exciting things happening? I havnt done much work with her, since our ground is covered in thick snow and ice,
but I do little things with her everyday, somedays I saddle her, bridal her and others I just work with her feet and sack her out with
strange objects. She was pretty much sacked out though when she got here, not much spooks her at all. I just love her she is absolutely
stunning, I can sit there and stare at her forever. Hows Willows pregnancy going? is she the only mare you have in foal?
Hope all is well
I will write again soon I promise, I have missed our emails and phone chats.

Here are some more pictures of Tug. He's getting so big and is such a big teddy

so much again for letting us have Tug as a part of our family. It wouldn't be

How are you? I just thought I would drop you an email and let you know that Archie and Elwyn are doing
great! Archie is now over 12 pounds. He is a tank. They are both doing well with potty training. The girls
just love the puppies. Not to mention Erik and I do too.
I am pretty sure you said that Lily would be having puppies around Christmas Eve? Keep me posted
because I think my neighbor is interested in a puppy. She has a 2 year old golden and wants to get her a
playmate. She also has three adorable little girls that are around the same ages as Olivia and Alaina. I
hope everything is going well for you. Happy Holidays!

How are the other puppies from the littler doing? Are they about the same size? If you would like to see him

I just wanted to give you an update on Millie. She's doing really great! She's pretty much
sleeping through the night and even running to the door when she needs to go potty! We're just
trying to work on her not using us as her chew toys. Her trip to the Drs went really well. He had
only good things to say about her. She appears to be very healthy. I will keep you updated.

We purchased our beautiful
percheron/thoroughbred gelding,
Shawn, from Jacquie Skadeland in
Elverson a year and a half ago and I
have to say that having been involved
with horses for over 20 years, Jacquie
is the most honest, knowledgeable,
trustworthy person that I ever met in
the business. Everything she said
about Shawn was exactly on the
money (and she didn't leave out the
bad parts)! If anything, when we first
talked to Jacquie about Shawn, she
was TOO honest and just wanted to
make sure he was the right match and
was almost reluctant about showing
him to us....it's rare to find someone
with such integrity.
Jacquie has helped us with many
issues/questions about Shawn's
training and care and we have
remained friends (she visited last year
and took some beautiful photos of him
as she is an accomplished
photographer). Lastly, she bred Shawn
and he has EXCELLENT blood lines
and is an awesome horse.

I just want to take the time to really thank you. I actually just said to my husband that I was going to send you a
thank you card for everything you have done for me. In doing research I came upon your web site which I
found not only very informational but very touching. When I emailed you with what my intentions were you you
had explained to me that the next litter of Goldens wouldn't be here until December. However what simply
amazed me and shows what a true HONEST breeder you are, is that you took the time to guide me else where.
You took the time to help me find a reputable breeder and directed me to the information I needed to purchase
the right dog. You could have easliy tried to pursuade me to buy from you but again that shows character that
you didnt try and take me for a buck. Its people like you that show true spirit and respect still live on. Thank you
AGAIN for all that you have done for me. In just the little time we have talked I feel like we have been friends for
years. Anyone who choses you as a breeder is getting an exceptional breeder and someone who takes very
good care of her animals.
Sincerley,
Carrie

About one month ago (give or take), my husband and I came to your home to look at your
puppies. At the time we were still unsure if we wanted a male and female. Unfortunately, by the
time we made a decision you beautiful puppies were all sold. I am writing to tell you that just last
Friday, March 6, we welcomed our new little boy into our home. His name is Tucker and was born
on Januarty 5. He weighs about 15 lbs. and has very large feet. He is the greatest and most
beautiful little guy. He is happy, healthy and highly spirited. It is amazing how much he has
learned in just shy of one week's time. He is very smart and adjusted very well.
Thanks again for being so helpful and thoughtful when we were searching for our new boy. He's

Hi Jacquie
My experience with Jacquie Skadeland and Quite Winter farm has been more than I could have ever hoped for. When I first
decided to purchase the most beautiful Friesian mare I had ever seen I was a little more than nervous, I mean buying a horse
is a big decision, especially expensive ones. But after my first chat with Jaquie I realized that I was purchasing a quality animal,
from possibly the most sincere, honest, down to earth person I have ever met. From our phone conversation, that effortlessly
flowed for over an hour, I learned so much about the kind of person I was buying from, thus allot about the kind of animal I was
buying. Jacquie was able to answer every question and concern I had as well as everything else I needed to know. She did not
try and push a sale but instead wanted to ensure that I was ready and would provide a good home for one of her own. Since I
lived so far away from Jacquie I could not go and see what I was buying, but relied on the many supplied pictures and Jacquies
word. Which turned out to be golden.
Because I couldnt come up with the funds up front Jacqiue, who is remarkabley understanding, set up a payment plan for me
and alloted enough time for me to pay for my darling mare. She even asked me how much I could afford monthly because she
didnt want me to be broke. If I was a little late with my payment she never once bother me about it. And I ended up being
$160.00 short after the final payment cause of currency change.
Jacquie also stayed in very close contact with me, sending beautiful photos of my mare everyday!! She called it my daily
Winter, best part of my day. She also called me often to let me know how Winter was doing, and continued to train Winter, even
though she was sold. You will not find this kind of dedication and concern with any other breeder. Not only does Jacquie truly
adore the animals that she breeds but she loves them like family. Just ask her to tell you about cold weather goat kidding, or
her horse Red Wing, and you will see that she is absolutely the sweetest little animal lover ever!
Jacquie's concern for Winter did not stop when my mare left her property. She called me everyday to find out where my mare
was, during her very long trip to Canada. Jacquie was also generous enough to send Winter with a brand new Gatsby
blanket(since it was cold) and a nice leather halter free of charge! Jacquie still contacts me asking about Winter and we still
have awsome chats.
When Winter finally arrived at my house, I couldnt keep my eyes off of her, even though it was -30 C out. The mare I couldnt
wait to meet, and heard all about, exceeded my expectations. She is the gentlest, quietest 3 yr old mare ever. All the work
Jacquie has put into her has thoroughly paid off. She doesn't spook at anything, she is easy to halter, bridle and saddle she
has even been driven. She has been so thoroughly socialized and sacked out that her summer training will be a breeze.
I could honestly go on for pages with great things to say about Jacquie and the animals she sells. She is so knowlegable and
incredibley honest, and truly breeds for quality and not to make a quick buck. She is my go to gal for any questions I have
regarding animal health or training, and she is always willing to help. The only bad thing I can say about Jacquie is that she
lives a million miles away from me. I hope that my begging for her to come out to Canada and enjoy the Calgary Stampede will
pay off, and I will finally get to meet her. I will always consider her my good friend and the angel that sold me the horse of my
dreams.

Our dear Skipper/Sammy is doing very well--now progressing into his "tweens" between puppy and adult. He still has a puppy face and
motions but now a long body and legs that are waiting for his body to catch up.
I had my dog photographer come out last Sat and take some pictures of him and the rest of my corgi family so I'll send you the link
when the photos are up. I wanted to capture at least some of his corgi puppy look as he's just so handsome. One of the neighbors bought
some cute bunny ears for the pack so we'll see if those pictures came out as, as you can imagine, most of my kids would wiggle out of them
in two seconds and start chewing on them!
Skipper continues to be very devoted and affectionate and loves to rough house with his older brother Smokey (so named as he's a black
headed tri), who's less than a year older. Smokey plays the classic older brother, stealing Skipper's toys and other objects of interest, but
now that Skipper's getting bigger than Smokey it will be interesting to see if that dynamic changes. Skipper now loves to pounce on
Smokey (with a flying leap) so they do have a good time. His eye color seems to change in how it differs one eye to the other--sometimes
is very prominent, sometimes not--so I don't know how it will turn out in the end but both are pretty.
Hope your girl puppy and Flurry are doing well. I enjoyed seeing the pictures of your golden retriever puppies. It looked like in one shot
the new corgi girl puppy was visiting them.
Take care and I'll send the photo link along in the next week or two. Best wishes, Virginia

probably the laziest puppy I have ever

Hi Jacquie
We love Gus SO MUCH! Thank you for raising such an amazing puppy. Here are a few pictures from his first night in his
new home :) He went to the bathroom as soon as we came home (#1+2) as soon as I showed him the wood shavings!! He
ate his dinner and licked the bowl clean in his crate. Then after an hour of playing and people visiting and meeting our
neighbor's Golden "Sweets", he crashed in the dining room. Dom finally picked him up and put him on his puppy pillow,
where he continues to sleep. We are in love with him. His little butt waddles when he walks, he has the cutest face, and
when you leave a room, he runs after you and follows you. I'll keep you updated!

Hi Jacquie!
Sorry, I just was able to check my e-mail today and was going to write to you and saw your e-mail. Thanks the pictures it
turned out great. Ride home was great. Lilly did great. She stayed awake the whole ride home and fell asleep ten minutes
before arriving home. She played the whole way home with her new toys. First night was a real shocker!! We put her in the
crate in our bedroom got into bed and just waited for the crying to begin. Guess what?? Not a peep!! I believe this is
because you worked with the pups so much. She curled up, went to sleep and didn't wake up until 2:30 AM, went outside did
her business. Then again at 4:30 did her business and at 6:00 Ralph stayed up with her. Second night she sleep upWe
thought she was probably starving because she didn't eat anything that first day. She ate pretty good next morning and day
after was OK too.
She is very well behaved already can't believe that either. She will chase after her toys and bring them back to us but after a
few times she takes them over to her big pillow bed and claims them. Like "stop taking my toy away and throwing it away from
me." We are already working on sit (which she does really well already) and are getting her use to hearing come, let's go,
drop (to let go of things) and let's go.
We have introduced her to collar and leash and she's even doing well with that. She grabs the leash with her teeth but then
lets go and walks really well. She does really have a prance on her. Everyone loves the way she trots around. Grandkid
love and came up both Sat. and Sun to see her and play with her which is great. She does like chewing, of course, so I have
sprayed all the chairs, table woodwork etc. If I forgot to spray an area, guess what? She found it!!
Lilly had her first Vet visit Monday and weights 7 lbs 8 oz. and vet said she is the picture of health and a beautiful pup. Also
said you must have been a wonderful breeder because of the things you told us and the food you had her on. So-o-o-o All is
well in the Campbell household with our new wonderful addition. Will send some pictures to you when I get them uploaded.
Hope to introduce her to the River soon but right now its over the banks and too deep to even try. Will keep you posted.
Thanks for all the work you have done with the pups she is so well rounded and not afraid of anything except our cat that
hissed at her and scared her. Vet says that the cats will adjust at their on pace.
We couldn't be happier!

Hi Jacquie,
Jake is doing great!!! From the moment he walked into our home you could tell he was
totally comfortable, and felt like part of our family. He slept with me and my grand
daughter, and did not even whimper once. He went to our back door and hit it to let us
know he needed to go out. He has had very few accidents, and you did a great job in his
socialization. He started work yesterday, and the patients are thrilled to have him here. I
promise that I will send pictures of him with our family, and him at work in the next couple
of days. I want to thank you so much for making our family complete again J

Hi Jacquie
Gus' first few days with us have been so much fun (as you can see by my many
pictures). We discovered that he LOVES whistling. Did someone in your house whistle
a lot? Or maybe the bird? He gets really frisky when I whistle. He's been really good.
Likes to chew a lot, but we've been trying to give him things he's allowed to chew so he
doesnt chew on us! Talk to you soon.
~Melanie

Well, Journey is doing great. He is so funny and such a wonderful personality. In a weeks time
he has learned quite a lot. Of course he knows "No", "Leave it" He knows he's NOT to chase
the cats, he knows that he cannot get away from me, when I know he has something in his
mouth, that's not good for him (he trys to hide). He is doing well at the "sit" command also.
Housebreaking is continuing to be a challenge. It seems that he does well for a couple days,
and then goes backward for one. He will go to the door sometimes not. I'm taking him out,
which seems constantly, and he goes right out to the yard and does his business, but
sometimes he forgets why he's there and just wants to play, and then as soon as we go back
in, oops... When we are gone, he is in a small puppy pin w/ his crate, in the house (he likes to
sleep in it) and most of the time does pretty well for about 4 hrs.
I know you started w/his training. How do you go about housebreaking?
He plays a little w/ our Hannah, but when Hannah plays she growls, and it still scares him--I
guess he's not sure if her yet. We try to spend a lot of time playing w/him with his toys, and he
makes us laugh--especially when he does what we call the "willies" where he runs around w/
his butt tucked under him.
He had his vet check Fri. Everyone loved him and Dr. Kuswa said he was an excellent choice.
He received his booster, and also bordatella. He goes back in 3 weeks. He seems to be doing
well on the Blue dog food, but what is up w/ the way he eats??? Like a wild animal....lol
I have had to just give him a little at a time, to keep him from inhaling it and vomiting it back
up.
This next weekend, we will go to the beach house with him, but I'm not actually going to take
him to the beach. Right now, during our weather change, Parvo gets really going, so I won't
be taking him out in public places for a while, just around our house.
What have you heard from his litter mates on how they are doing? Journey weighed 15.6lbs
last Fri. I can tell just from my pictures I took, how much he has grown. I think he is going to
be a big guy!
Thanks,
Kathy Bethel

Hey Jacquie,
Wow! Your advice was amazing. Thank you so much for letting
Gus and I come visit. He had a great time...and was wiped out
and slept the entire ride home. Thank you SOOOO MUCH! He
will know his place soon enough.
Here is a picture from our walk this morning. I love the fall. It
was gorgeous driving to see you yesterday to see all the
change of colors this time of year.

Hi Jacquie,
sorry we are so bad at keeping in touch, it's been on my heart to email u and let u know how libby is doing but you beat me to
it. She's doing great, .
She's an all around GREAT dog, you were very accurate on her disposition, she's sweet and craves attention and loves it; she
is also full of energy she's got a funny personality she's scared of going outside at night and little things startle her. She has
really become a great friend to our chilren and barks if someone is at the door until they come in and she licks them to death.
She's not the best watch dog, LOL! But we understood that when we chose a goldren over a german sheperd. She is a little on
the petite side, we can't tell how big she will be yet. Her fur is still very light with golden tones, i think she look like her mom lilly.
She loves water too, like her mom. She's learned a lot of commands, and when we tell her to go night night she goes right in
and lays next to our bed where she sleeps. She always has her paw on us constantly, she's a real sweetheart. Thank you for
choosing such a great dog for our family.
We are sorry it's taken us so long to let u know how she is, life is busy. I'm sure you understand. Hope you can get the photos,
some are from the summer, but when we update our photos soon we will be sure to send you more.
Thank you Jacquie, write us anytime! :)

Jacquie Please feel free to use this on your site--- My Name is Beverly and when I went searching for a Corgi I was becoming discouraged I didn't like what I saw or the fact that most people selling puppys just wanted to know how much I was willing to spend- Thats when I found Jacquie Skadeland What I got from her in information and caring about where the puppy went told me VOLUMES of what I needed to know knowledge on the buyers end.
Jacquie was as busy interviewing me as I was her! And to me THAT made a tremendous difference. Here was a breeder who was not letting her dogs go to just any one or any place. She wanted to evaluate my personality and lifestyle and she wanted to know why I wanted a Corgi and what did I expect from the dog in the future..
When I flew out to see her I found an Interesting and varied menagerie on her eclectic farm Everything from A llama that followed me and a Rooster the was happy pecking at my shoelaces as I knocked on the front door ! Never the less Her Dogs were well rounded and confident All her dogs were happy and seemed very healthy with the parent dog right there at my side to check out.
She answered all questions directly and with candor, and believe me, I'm no slouch when it comes to asking direct questions.
All these things tied with a great pup are priceless. Good breeders are NOT a dime a dozen, in fact they're Very hard to find. I looked a long time before I found the one I would invest my money, time, and trust in. Sincerely Beverly Wright Great Falls Montana

Jacquie,
Everything going great. He does pick up stuff fast. It's been pretty easy to get him out of some of his
puppy habits. He's not really biting any more and he's pretty close to being house broken. He just
needs to learn to tell us when he needs to go out. The crate thing is working pretty well. We leave it
open all day and he goes in and out. He likes to lay on his pillow and chew on a piece of puppy
rawhide. Though, he does like to take his naps outside of it (and he takes a lot). but he doesn't really
cry in it when we put him in at night. He's only wet in the house a couple of times since yesterday.
We've been really impressed how at how confident he is. All that stuff you did with him must have
paid off. He loves to run around in the back yard and is constantly checking everything out. He can
even get up the stairs by himself...down not so much.
We had some friends over for the Eagles games yesterday and he was total comfortable with them.
He hasn't really cried for being lonely like we expected...not even the first night. Only when he wants
out of the crate or some more attention. He doesn't really cry at all; he's having too much fun
exploring. He goes to see the vet tomorrow. The little is still not sure about him, she not used to so
much activity in the house but she is getting with him. She likes to give him his toy and treats.
He really is a great puppy. Mike

Hey Jacquie, I wanted to tell you how
much we love Nadia! She is SUCH a
great dog. We see how much her
being socialized influenced her
personality. I have been off these past
few days so I have been spending
every minute with her. She has not
had an accident yet! She cries as
soon as she has to go and she walks
in circles so I always know. Now, she
goes to the sliding glass door that
leads to the backyard and she cries to
go out. She is so smart! I can't tell
you how much I love her. I bought the
california's natural, and I started giving
her raw meat because we want to
follow the all raw diet and rotate it with
dog food daily. I might transition her to
Evo and the raw meat, but im going to
do a little more research about it first.
She loves the raw meat! and you were
right, she eats A LOT. I attached
some pictures for you to see. Pictures
of her playing, pictures of her crate in
my bedroom, and I also have pictures
of my backyard so you can see the 2
acres that we have (privacy fenced in)
so you can see how much room she
has to run around. Thank you for
taking care of the puppy as well as you
did for the past 8 weeks, you did a
great job! Here are the pictures..

Jacquie, THANKS! And thank you for the food info,
we'll get it today.
He really is doing great, he's a very good little guy.
He whines and cries when he needs to go out, he's
very happy in his dog bed at night right next to our
bed, he's great in the car and he is amazing with the
kids. Couldn't ask for more!
Thank you!!

Hi Jacquie -
I'm glad you e-mailed, I keep meaning
to send you a note. Are all the
puppies with their new owners? How's
Hannah doing now that they are gone?
Vader's doing good. He's sleeping
through the night pretty good without
any accidents. He's having some
accidents here and there, but
otherwise doing really well. He's
drinking alot of water, is that normal?
He also poops sometimes up to 4 times
a day, is that because he's a puppy or
could it be his food?
Here's a few pictures of him when we
had snow a week or two ago.
Talk to you soon -
Sandy

Ginger is wonderful. She has learned to go up and down steps comfortably. She
just loves the snow. And if it weren't for my beagle she would be sleeping through
the night without any trips outside. But my beagle is getting old and can't hold it. I
had to move her meeting with Obedience trainer to tomorrow, because our foster
child has a mobile therapyst coming over today. You weren't kidding when you
said how smart she is. I am bragging you and her up to everyone. My mutt Gracie
has taken her under her wing as a mother, so she does not cry as much. Ginger is
very very talkative. She talks to everyone. Literally, she was really yelling at Annie
the Beagle to get her to play with her. It was so funny to watch. Annie is a grumpy
old lady and wants nothing to do with puppies. Ginger then just starting licking her
ears when Annie wouldn't play with her. Really cute. I have cut off water and food
after 5. So by the time bedtime comes she has pooped and peed it all out. For the
most part she is doing well, though sometimes she catches us off guard. And then
ooops. There she goes.
I find myself being over protective of her ears, (which are starting to stand), and
over protective when the nephews start talking about breeding her with other dogs
they know of. It's so interesting to see me so serious. She is walking very well with
a leash. In the night last night I actually had her walking along side me as if she
were already in her class. It was beautiful to see.
The pictures I sent were of her playing with my husband, Russell, he actually came
home from work that Monday, the next day after we came home to check on her.
My husband is one of those tough logging kind of out doors men, and to see him
crawl around on the floor with a puppy was so wonderful. He really needed her.
Though he may never admit it. LOL. Really want to catch some photos with facial
expressions, she has quite a few. Thank you so much again for giving me this
opportunity to be part of reinstating a clean line of shephards back into the States
here. I feel very privaleged to be a part of this.
How are things on the farm.
These photos included are of the farm, will have to get photos of horses and cows
next time.
Please keep in touch.

Just took this picture this morning. It
was a good one so I thought I'd
send it to you. He looks so
handsome all groomed. I can't
believe how much he loves the
snow. Did you all get lots of snow by
you? We got at least 16".

Jacqui, I thought I take the time to
update you on Harley now that she has
reached one year old. She graduated
from her dog training class and is
ready to take the Good Citizenship
Test. Onvce she passes the test she
will begin her work becoming a therapy
dog. I have attached pictures of her
playing at theChesapeake Bay in
November, building a snowman in
December (although she was
"unbuilding the snowman as she didn't
think sticks for arms were appropriate
so she pulled them off) and picking out
her Christmas tree. She is an
awesome dog and walks four miles a
day with me. She is responsible for my
blood pressure dropping to normal
levels! Thanks again for taking the
time to breed dogs to their standard
and sharing them with the rest of us.
Take Care, Scott & Marie.
PS: We love your website! we check it
all the time. You never know when we'll
stop by and pick out another one.

Update .... 4 months later
Jacquie. It's hard to get a picture 'cause when she sees the camera
she wants to come towards it and see what I'm doing. We put up
the tree and she's leaving it alone. She's settled quite a lot and is
becoming a respectable part of the family. We Love her Erica

Hi Jacquie!
Merry Christmas! Everyone here is
great. I have been meaning to send
you a picture of Sunny, so I'm glad you
emailed. Love the picture of her mom.
Sunny and Shadow are best friends.
They love to play together - especially
on our trampoline! It is pretty funny to
watch. Sunny is very loving and
snuggly. Does like to chew a lot....ugh.
And eats ANYTHING she can get her
mouth around or in. Wow - she is a
pig - but really skinny. Don't know how
she maintains that figure. She loves
the dog park, but prefers the trails by
our house. Taking the two of them on
the trails is hysterical. I look like a
gladiator behind to black horses! It
certainly makes me run!
The dogs are well known at my kid's
school. They have there heads stuck
out the window in the pick up line
looking for 'their' kids. They both start
whining when they spot one of them
walking to the car and then maul them
with licks. It is pretty funny.
I hope all is well with you and your
family. Thank you so much for
sending me an email.
Have a wonderful 2010!
Maureen
